I love the game of football. Some of my fondest memories of my childhood and adolescence centered around the period I played high school and college football. Even now, I look forward to the fall and coaching my son's little league flag football team. One of the major aspects I like about football is the teamwork in football. Football is truly the ULTIMATE team sport. Each member on the football team has a critical role in the success of the team. For example, a star running back cannot run the ball successfully and make touchdowns without a great offensive line blocking for him. If the line does not block, the defense will tackle the running back as soon as he gets the ball. After all, the running back's job and his past training prepared him to run the ball. Not to Block! Leave the blocking to the team members who are specially trained for that job.
Just like in any business, your team is critical to the success of a growing business. A single person has a limited number of hours he/she can get things done in one day. But if that person wants to scale their business, they must build a team. Throughout my time working in various businesses, I have had to learn this lesson the hard way, but now I have implemented it successfully in my current business. My team allows me to leverage the specialized training of others in my business. My job is to coordinate the team's efforts and find/analyze performing & non-performing note deals to invest in. Here are some of the critical team members I leverage in my business of acquiring performing and non-performing notes:
Sottile & Barile, Attorneys at Law (Legal Counsel)
Laughlin Associates (Asset Protection)
Madison Management, LLC (Speciality Loan Servicing)
Baldwin Advisory Group (Real Estate Services)
Polaris (Borrower Outreach)
ProTitle USA (Title Due Diligence)
Scott Carson & We Close Notes (Mentoring and Continuing Education Services)
So, I hope you are not putting the entire burden of your activities all on you. Leverage your team and Score the Winning Touchdown!
